Bathroom Remodel

Looking from eliminated doorway at an angle...toilet would be right next to that tub wall, and vanity to the right of that

Looking in from eliminated doorway...vanity is where the faucet end of tub is, while the toilet was moved left 1 foot

Heavy old cast iron tub....manufactured 1 month before this home (1963)

Laundry shoot exposed....moisture behind surround evident

That would be my foot coming through the ceiling

View from the doorway we kept

View into the attic

View through the eliminated doorway after framing

Lots of new wiring :vanity lights, vanity night light, heater, fan, light.outlet for radio box, outlet for vanity

the fan/heater/light installed and wired

Getting tub in place

Tub is set and level, rough plumbing done. The black wall by tub used to be an exterior wall...and that was a window in the middle. We lived with a window between our addition and bathroom for about 4 years ;-)

Our new 'mega-fan' that moves 170 cfm of air, has a 1500w heater, and light of course

I hate mudding!

Radiant Heated Floor

RedGuard - A very thick rubber-like painted on material for waterproofing a tiled shower...very pricey, but cheap insurance in the long run

Tile Progress

LOVE this granite countertop...and reasonably priced for a 49"! So was the vanity itself

The most comfortable toilet ever. I was used to a $45 "lamosa" home depot special...my knees were up to my eyeballs when i used it! This is like a recliner

9" deep shelf for toys, ceramic towel bar

One of three corner shelves

MY pet project...the nightlight beneath the vannity...wife hated the idea, but it's VERY cool...its not bright in both corners like the picture suggests; that's just the picture exposure in the dark

Three small nickel finish recessed lights over the vanity...saw them in vegas hotel along with tray ceiling and had to have em

There's the mirror my wife found for $20....what a steal!

A shot from the doorway...the tray ceiling is awesome...vertical surface painted same as walls, horizontal is white like ceiling

My low-cost built in radio! Wires are hidden in walls to the speakers

Our cool faucet we got for 75% off

My mega fan/heater
